[May 20] RGF
may send Rosu and Eremia at Euros, despite INMS advice
The Romanian State Television TVR1 said that RGF may decide
to send Rosu and Eremia to compete at Euros, on their own
risk, because they have the power to do this and girls have
signed the notary statements.
Adrian Stoica, RGF general secretary, told to the TVR1:
"The National Sport Medicine Institute does not have
up to date equipment for the best conclusions on girl's health.
They take advantage on their monopoly status
[ Romanian sport law say that INMS in the only one to decide]
and do whatever they want. We have asked other top specialists
and they have a different opinion-girls can compete. Monica
Rosu, for example, can work depending on the girl own capability
to face the medical problems" (meaning is how much the
girls can take, if they suffer from their medical problems).
Simona Nanoveanu, the INMS Director,
for the TVR1: "We have agreed to a conclusion back in
April, that girls need a two month break from training. Their
medical problems need a minimum time to get better and we
can't do much about this [without taking great risks-this
is the meaning] Miracles does not happen over night and we
stick to our conclusions."
We have asked a former young gymnast living
abroad about this situation and she said: "They [RGF
+ B&B] don't stop acting like this until (God Forbid!)
something very bad may happen. They didn't learn anything
from the Petrovschi case; they keep pushing the girls."
Maybe they got a big discount on the Toyota cars to be given
in the future $ettlements...
