[Feb 16] Oana
Petrovschi's Open "Greetings Letter" for Belu
Romanian ProTv station have aired a story about Oana Petrovschi's
"Open Birthday Greetings Letter" for Octavian Belu,
to be published tomorrow by Romanian newspapers. Among other
things, Oana P. said she still respect him as a coach and
her suit was something she has to do, as a last chance to
get back her health.
This is the Romanian-language original (translation

SCRISOARE DESCHISA DOMNULUI OCTAVIAN BELLU
Va scriu aceasta scrisoare, pentru a va ura La multi ani si
pentru ca m-ati ajutat sa devin o campioana.
Va asigur ca amintirile frumoase din lot reprezinta acum intreaga
mea avere.
Situatia conflictuala nu mi-am dorit-o si, sper ca intelegeti,
ca nu am avut de ales. Trebuia sa am grija de sanatatea si
de viata mea, mai presus de politetea si de rusinea care m-ar
fi putut opri sa spun adevarul.
Voi continua sa va respect, asa cum un sportiv il respecta
pe altul, si, nu ma indoiesc, ca fair-play-ul va caracteriza
relatiile dintre noi.

"I assure you that the beautiful memories
from when I was part of the team represent my only fortune
now. I did not wish there to be a conflict between us and
I hope you understand that I had no choice. I had to take
care of my health and of my life and this went beyond the
politeness and shame which could have stopped me from telling
the truth. I will continue to feel respect towards you and
I hope that fair-play will be the main characteristic of our
relationship."
