first "punishment": a $5000 offer for his new contract!!!!!
..."If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger?..."The
Romanian Olympic Committee President Octavian Morariu have
confirmed today that the ROC is ready to pay "even a
$5000 salary for Belu, if this will be an argument for his
return at the team". After the March 2002 scandal (age
fraud revealed by the press and echoes of Marinescu case),
the salary of Belu went from the older $700 to the new $2000
and (as a bonus) a brand new Mercedes. This time, with
some of Belu's "fans"starting to have lists with
signatures for this return, the ROC went even higher, with
the $ 5000 offer. At least, he should pay a drink (this is
a common Romanian tradition) to all his critics which have
contributed to his new "success"-but these ["]
aren't useful here, it is a Real success. No more comments
(now), we are speechless...!
[editor note: Belu paid himself for that Mercedes car, the
info printed/suggested back then, by the Romanian sport press,
that he get as a gift was wrong; Belu buying a car from (at
the time) ROC President's company -the Mercedes dealer for
Romania-was just another coincidence, maybe a big one-exactly
during the days when Belu was having his publicly and ROC
support; those 38 000 Euros paid by Belu for the car was maybe
a bad timing and not a return favor or something; strange
that Belu didn't use much that car, which is rather unusual
for somebody buying that brand. After our previous critics
on some of his mistakes, they have increased his salary with
150%; now that we wrote about the car, maybe Rolls Royce will
take notice and make a deal with him, too...; we just want
a photo!]
