[Aug 22] Eremia
and Rosu-out of the team; Dragulescu-back
Alexandra
Eremia and Monica
Rosu got a one month suspension from the National Team;
they have to go back to their home clubs, get local training
and try loss some weight and come back if they pass some tests.
The decision was taken today during a meeting of RGF. "No
matter how many medals a gymnast may have, we shall not tolerate
any more indiscipline and lack of involvement in training"said
Adrian Stoica, RGF General secretary. "These girls have
to prove they will do back at their home clubs what they have
promised us for months- to loose some weight and train with
more dedication."
Octavian
Belu:"I will not tolerate any more lack of discipline
or partial training. We shall continue our training for Worlds
with Ponor, Sofronie and Floarea."
Dragulescu
has visited today the RGF, back from US. "I have decided
to come back, to help the team for Worlds, at two-three apparatus."
He looks happy for being admitted back. Coach Grecu wasn't
as happy as him, but looks like he can live with the idea
of having "The Rebel" back-this is the price he
must pay to have few extra medals at Worlds and he is ready
to have few more months with Marian- The Playboy&Rebel,
being around. Even if he already got two juniors to have the
two places remaining secured (just in case Dragulescu and
Urzica may leave, too).
Wednesday, August 24, Oana
Ban will receive the "Honorable Citizen" title
(and a cash prize) from the Mayor of her home city, Cluj Napoca.
