don't go to China, he wants to stay in Romania
Back home, Octavian
Belu said at the team arrival on Otopeni
airport that he "never heard about such an offer" (the "Chinese"
one, launched last evening by romanian ProTv station).

Belu said he want to think more about
what he have to do for future, maybe working as coordinator
for the Romanian Gymnastics Federation.
It seems to be a difficult decision to be taken by Belu-despite
the AA failure (since 1972 it never happened before that Romanian
team returns home without an AA medal, no matter which one),
the Team Gold is very much appreciated in Romania.
After building almost from scratch a new team, Octavian
Belu may enjoy next days his victory.
If he retire now, he will be much regretted by the public
but the real challenge for him is to continue and get another
major victory in China.
The girls from the team have just started to feel the taste
of victory, Gold medals, celebrity and...money rewards and
seems to want try their chances and go for a Beijing victory,
too.

Belu, in China?...
Romanian TV channel ProTv have reported that Octavian
Belu is uncertain about his future at
the Romanian National team.
He get many offers last days, among them is an offer from
Romanian Olympic Committee to become the new General Secretary
of the R.O.C., the best paid position he can have in Romanian
sport. Hard to beat the China offer for him, a 300 000 Euro/year
salary to get the Chinese team at the highest level for 2008
Olympics. Many romanian soccer players left for China past
years, due to high salaries offered.

Belu and Mariana
Bitang will receive 75 000 Euro
each one, for their success in Athens.
