Raducan movie: Gold, Tears and Pain
During the Athens Olympics transmission on
Saturday 14, right after the end of men's gymnastics broadcast,
a surprising, un-listed on programs, announcement:
" following, a short movie called :
Andreea
Raducan/ Gold, Tears and Pain"
(they have used very big, capital letters, unused before on
Romanian State television).
Scene 1: Andreea Raducan descend from her car, along
with a big dog, looking like a wolf-dog, she open the doors
of her Travel agency job.
A lady say: "Andreea, somebody from national television asked
about you".
Andreea
Raducan wasn't impressed or happy, say something like
"I know, they want me to comment at Athens, I am not so enthusiastic
about". "Can you bring me a pill, I have a headache" "O.K.",
said the receptionist.
Andreea
Raducan walks into her office, passing by near a big,
giant poster of her, smiling (a close up). She sit at her
desk and the lady brings her two different kind of pills,
one of them clearly marked..."Nurofen" (the kind of pill witch
have caused her trouble at Sydney). Andreea start having a
memory flash-back...
... Sydney, 2004. Hotel, inside Olympics Camp. Heavy rain
outside. She heard something. Outside, a light lorry from
an animal-control center (flyers) came to take some little,
nice puppies witch cry on the rain, under some bushes.
Andreea, waking up from her sleep, yellow from her window:
"Hey, what are you doing there?! " The whole scene is like
she made them disappear fast in the rain, with their light
lorry.

Raducan goes outside, under heavy rain and
look around.
She found a nice, black little puppy and take with her in
the hotel room.
She is all wet and the doctor, who saw her, advise her to
take a Nurofen, just in case she may get a flu after staying
in the heavy rain. She asked her coach that evening :"I like
him, I will name him Sydney, can I keep and take it with me,
back home?"
Andreea
Raducan speaking at phone with her parents:"Mom, I
did a nice thing today, I have found and saved a puppy". Everybody
happy, in Romanian popular tradition any good action you make/you
get one from God.

Scene from a laboratory: a machine is processing tests from
sportsman.
Meeting of Romanian delegation: around table actor replacing
Belu, team doctor and all the other members (Andreea
Raducan is the only one which play her role by herself).
Doctor says: "I don't think we have any problem when the results
from test came, I just gave her only ONE pill".
A fax message arrive and the test is positive. Doctor reply:"It
can't be like this, the concentration is well TOO high for
a single pill. And International Gymnastics Federation does
NOT have this substance on their list. I didn't know about
the other list-the one from International Olympic Committee".
Other Romanian delegation members said in movie that even
the Olympics judges does not believe she is guilty, since
they let her go ahead into competition, they never let anybody
continue if was found guilty.

Raducan, speaking again at phone, with her parents.She
is sad, she said to her mother that she don't want to continue
any more, even if she is allowed to compete.Her mother implore
her to continue, remebering Andreea's efforts to get that
place for Olympics.
Andreea
Raducangoes on, she get nice results. On the screen
they show her results from next year events, which may prove
she was really good, and some official statements.

IOC: "Taking Andreea
Raducan medal back was the worst thing to happen
in the history of Olympics Games, since the terrorist attack
at Munchen, back in 1972."
